Preparation of Pyrazoles from Acetophenones in Flow using a 2–Stage Reaction

Flow Chemistry is becoming more and more popular. We have published several posts about this topic. Just to give you an idea, this technic has the potential to reduce dramatically the synthesis cost of Artemisinin, the cutting-edge treatment for Malaria.

In collaboration with Uniqsis, the producers of the FlowSyn system, we have published a technical note entitled Pyrazole Formation using a 2 Step Reaction in Flow. The method describes the preparation of these heterocycles by a one-pot procedure starting from arylacetophenones, using DMFDMA and hydrazine.
